The Project
Impressions from the project process
Inclined and crane-independently climbed RCS protection panel units provide here a very high level of safety.
The Evolution Tower is also known as the “City Palace Tower” or the “Wedding Palace”. Part of the building, the shell of which was only recently completed, will actually be available for weddings from 2014 – with a registry office and ballroom on the top floor for up to 200 wedding guests. This inspired Tony Kettle from the RMJM architectural team to collaborate with the Scottish artist Karen Forbes to create this organic, interlocking form.
VARIO girder wall formwork for the core walls climbed with help of the ACS self-climbing system in regular weekly cycles with 4.30 m concreting cycle heights.
Each of the 52 floors is twisted through 3° around the central building core, creating an elegant, spiral rotation of over 150°.
The inclined positioned climbing rails of the RCS climbing protection panel are permanently connected to the building by means of corresponding slab shoes.
Even the landing platforms are rail-climbed – and without any crane support due to the use of the mobile RCS climbing hydraulics.
The site management team from Renaissance Construction standing proudly in front of the elegantly twisting Evolution Tower.
The Evolution Tower is part of Moscow’s up-and-coming, international trade centre – “Moscow City” – realized with PERI know-how.
